How Does Solar Installation Products Work?

There are different types of solar installation products, which are also available at various solar installation companies in Delhi NCR. Such products can include solar water heaters, solar chargers for mobiles, solar cook stoves, and solar-powered lights for homes. They can also include solar products for large-scale projects such as street lighting, irrigation, drinking water pumps, and educational buildings.

The corresponding solar products could be solar street lighting systems connected to a solar micro-grid. Solar irrigation pumps and drinking water pumps connected to and powered by solar panels. A combination of solar power plant system/solar rooftop system, solar lights, and solar drinking water pumps for educational buildings.

However, there are specific manners in which solar products work and these include a direct method, indirect method, and combination method. They basically use solar power, which is made by converting the sun’s energy into electricity. Each of the methods is described below:-

(a) The Direct Method

In the Direct Method, photovoltaics/PV is used and photo-voltaic cells convert the sunlight into electricity through the photo voltaic effect. The photo-voltaic effect leads to the creation of both an electric current as well as voltage. It is described as a chemical and physical occurrence that takes place when a particular material is exposed to sunlight.

(b) The Indirect Method

In the Indirect Method, however, concentrated solar power is used and includes specific systems called concentrated solar power systems. Such systems use combinations of tracking systems, mirrors, and lenses to concentrate a large area of sunlight onto smaller areas. But the production of electricity involves a number of steps:-

(i) Step I: Converting the concentrated light to heat

(ii) Step II: Connecting a heat engine/steam turbine to an electric power generator

(iii) Step III: Using the heat for driving the heat engine/steam turbine connected to the electric power generator

(c) The Combination Method

This uses a combination of both the Direct Method and the Indirect Method. It accordingly involves the use of both photovoltaics/PV and photo-voltaic cells as well as concentrated solar power systems. As a result, it takes advantage of the benefits of both methods, which are the following:-

(1) The Pv-system’s ability to generate electricity from diffuse radiation. The diffuse radiation is radiation that is scattered by the particulates/molecules in the Earth’s atmosphere before it reaches the surface.

(2) The CSP systems ability to generate electricity even after sunset from stored energy/molten salts. The molten salts are the form in which the energy is stored.

However, it is important to remember that though solar powered products have a high initial expense they have long-term advantages. They make full use of the abundant sunlight by converting it into a renewable source of energy i.e. solar energy. This, in turn, makes electricity available to many more people but in a sustainable manner. It also reduces electricity bills in the long run and as a result, can substantially decrease the overall household expenses.

In addition, they have a positive impact on the environment, as they lead to comparatively lower levels of pollution. Therefore, all these reasons make investing in solar products (obtainable from  solar installation companies in Delhi NCR)) an advantageous option.
