Hong Kong is a surprising city that everybody should visit if they have the chance. Hong Kong does not only have an appealing history as a former colony of the UK territory, however, it has some attractive things to see, do, eat and get Hong Kong massage from many places in Hong Kong. I even thought I would discuss a bit more concerning it and enjoying Hong Kong.
Getting there
The International Airport is an important world hub in terms of flying, particularly when considering the fact that more than 100 airlines operate in Hong Kong and they fly to more than 180 cities in the world. It’s the 8th world’s busiest airport, so there should definitely be an easy connection for many people from around the globe.
I decided to kick my trip off with a Hong Kong’s airport transfer since I knew that I won’t want to stay for long and I needed to maximise my time over there. This is often better than using public transport and often a great way to begin to be orientated in your new city.
Some things to do
There are many things to do in Hong Kong and below are my favourite things to do
Take the star ferry – Truly, Hong Kong has among the most amazing harbours on planet earth. This is the case with a place made up nearly entirely of skyscrapers which you can look up at and enjoy. The star ferry is the ideal way of getting out into the open water. It’s also very affordable and only costs some dollars for a ticket. Note that the journey will only last for nearly 7 minutes, so you’ll definitely have to keep the camera prepared. If not you can often take another trip for more dollars!
Big Buddha – It is an awesome sight to see on Lantau Island, the Hong Kong’s largest islands. To reach the top of the place where the Buddha is I highly recommend you take the Ngong Ping 360, in which you can take a glass-bottomed gondola for you to get a great bird’s eye view of the area. The Buddha is made of bronze and is the largest seated Buddha outdoor worldwide!
Eat – Now, Chinese food is one of the best in the world and there is no exception here to this rule as a China’s part. There are a lot of things I would recommend and also it has some of the unique dim sums in the entire world, in my opinion, therefore I highly recommend it. Char siu is one of my favourites, it’s the golden brown pork which you see in the windows of most Chinese restaurants that’s flavoured.
Take a view of the city from above – Another great method of viewing Hong Kong from above is through the peak tram and it operates all day until midnight, therefore you can catch a glimpse of Hong Kong at night or during the day if you fancy it. Now, the views from the mountain’s top are absolutely unbelievable and aren’t something that you’ll forget anytime soon.
